The really good:
I got this in the mail today and I have to say it looks better in person the white and gold look quite sleek (five stars for it is looks). I read some very good evaluations about this helicopter online and decided it would be a nice upgrade from my 2 channel propel mini rc heli which performs well and has gone 2 years and hundreds upon hundreds of crashes devoid of breaking as soon as. But sufficient about my old heli, the 107g is a fantastic mini helicopter it really is three.5 channel control permits the pilot to manage lift, left and suitable turning, and forward / reverse which is great! five stars for becoming an budget friendly 3.5 channel heli. The good quality of this heli is great, the manufacturer genuinely spared no expense in using superb parts on this terrific little heli(5 stars for top quality). I've crashed it a couple of times and it does not show a single scratch, I give durability four stars considering that I've barely owned it
The Negative:
In all honesty, this heli performs precisely as it will need to. My only complaint is that the heli isn't rather speedy out of the box. Contemplating it's an indoor helicopter, slower speeds are without a doubt a fine feature for those who haven't mastered the controls. This can not genuinely be deemed a major complaint thinking of how effortlessly it can be modified to allow more quickly speeds for even more advanced flyers (subsequent section).
Mods:
1.) Immediately after reading about obtaining aftermarket rotor blades, spinning the rotor upside down, etc etc, I decided to simply get rid of a few pieces of the helicopter. I removed the 2 bars and the piece connecting them to the tail bar, along with the tail fin (not to be confused with the rotor). This does a couple of items: 1) lowers weight of the helicopter 2) increases power (due to weight loss) 3) increases battery life (due to weight loss) four) tends to make the heli considerably more rapidly and alot more responsive. Please note that the heli will be significantly faster than before, but it will be slightly much less stable due to the lowered weight and elevated speeds. Take it easy the initially few times around the living room, it will take some getting use to.
2.) If your a speed freak and want the fastest s107g out there then you can also remove the landing bars. I don't advocate this for a small inside area as it can make it troublesome to navigate around furniture and tight spaces. I would advise this for many people who fly in substantial indoor places or outside as the speed improve can be enjoyable. If that's not rapidly sufficient for you, then you can try the rotor flipping mod and replace the stock rotor with some fancy aftermarket one particular. If that isn't fast sufficient then, wonderful for you, you have a residence the size of a football field. :p
Breif Evaluation:
The 107g is a awesome mini rc helicopter, looks excellent, flies awesome, has fantastic stability. It is a tiny slow out of the box, but that can easily be fixed (see mods section above). General I rate this tiny heli a 5/5. It has every thing I want in an indoor heli and I couldn't be happier for this low value. If you like flying the 2 channel indoor heli's then this is a outstanding upgrade!
