The blades are very uncomplicated to replace. The price of replacement parts is a bit high, contemplating the expense of the total helicopter package. I broke 8 lower blades and 1 upper blade in two months. You get two upper blades and two lower blades in a package for around $3 USD + SH. So it would be nice if they sold either a set of four upper or four lower blades in a package, but they don't.
The item is great but sadly the helicopter toy does not work adequately, namely, does not fly. It is fairly a pity for me.
